How it started... how it's going. As work continues on the Demers Collection, last week we were able to add a missing piece this Portuguese faience plate (made between 1660-1690) to make it complete again for the first time in more than 300 years! This Portuguese faience plate from the Demers Collection dates to ca. 1660-1700. Its decoration, featuring a crane and a rim decorated with clusters of beads, imitates Chinese porcelain.
